This item is included in Data Basin, but has not been added to the DRECP Gateway.
Description:
Carbon density values represent the metric tons of carbon in aboveground biomass per 900 square meter pixel. Carbon density estimates used are published by the California Air Resources Board. We used these estimates with LANDFIRE's Existing Vegetation Height (EVH), Existing Vegetation Cover (EVC) and Existing Vegetation Type (EVT) to estimate the aboveground carbon stocks in Santa Barbara County in 2016.

Student with Bren School of Environmental Science & Management

We are a group of five master's graduates at the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara. Our master's group project was evaluating the climate mitigation potential of natural & working lands in Santa Barbara County, conducted in partnership with the County's Sustainability Division.
